PGA Tour golfer Chad Collins, an Indianapolis native who lives in Cloverdale, Ind., will write an exclusive, weekly blog for the Web site of Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.
"On Tour," Collins' blog, will begin Tuesday, Sept. 30 at www.brickyardcrossing.com and appear at the site every Monday thereafter.
Collins, 30, has played in 19 events this year in his rookie PGA Tour season, with a best finish of a tie for 11th at the U.S. Bank Championship in July at Milwaukee. He played on the Nationwide Tour from 2004-07, winning an event in 2005.
"So far, the year has gone by fast and not as well as I would like at this point, but I still have six tournaments left to secure my card or win," Collins said. "Stay tuned to my blogs each week as I tell my life stories on and off the road, chasing the ultimate golfer's dream job of playing the 'Big Tour!'"
A three-time NCAA Division III individual national champion at Methodist University in North Carolina, the personable Collins will write about life on the Tour, his attempt to keep his PGA Tour card this season, the ups and downs of his weekly tournaments and also offer tips for golfers of all skill levels to improve their game.
Readers also are encouraged to respond to Collins' weekly blog with comments and questions, which he will answer in upcoming blog entries.
