Inaugural Motor Race At IMS, Aug. 14, 1909
Valentino Rossi's Fiat Yamaha MotoGP bike at Indianapolis Motor Speedway's famed Yard of Bricks. The core sample in front of the bike contains 100 years of the IMS surface: from the original tar and crushed rock surface, to the famed bricks, to generations of asphalt that have carried the world's most famous drivers and riders. The second running of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race is Sunday, Aug. 30.
