 2010 Indianapolis 500 I believe that the date of next years '500' truely shows the Centennial Era feeling. Having the first '500' being on the date of the 2010 '500', May 30th It would be the 94th '500' and 99th anniversary of the first one. Does anyone else feel this feeling? |

Missing man flight formation I have been going to the track for 52 years. I agree this next year will be very special. What do we have to do to get the fly over at the end of the national anthem to go back to the missing man formation? This is a 5 plane formation with one of the planes shooting verticle straight up right over the speed way to show those military aviation way of recognizing those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Who, when, and how many times do we need to talk to every public and IMS official to get this historic flight reinstated for every memorial weekend race we have at the worlds greatest spectacle???? Not only in racing but in the recognition of our national heritage!! Mayor, Govenor, President, Senators, News media, Generals, Department of defense???? Come on Tony George and the IMS staff lets raise the bar for IMS and reestablish our serpremicy to the world sports capital !!! |
